Life is Good in Bordeaux

Hello Everyone

As you saw on my last post, one of my closest friend came to visit me (go check my previous post about Arcachon if you haven’t read it). So, this time is kind of a part 2. She stay few days at my place in Bordeaux.

She already knew Bordeaux because she lived there for 2 years. But this is always a pleasure spending time in this beautiful city ❤

We’ve been to a place neither of us knew before. It is Called Darwin. Darwin is located on the other bank of the Garonne river. From which I know this is an old military camp that was bought and transformed into a place of social expression and new system. The old buildings were about to be destroyed to build new ones. But the association who bought the buildings didn’t want those historical buildings to be destroyed. Now the whole place is a place of expression for street artists. One of the buildings is even a coworking place with bars and an organic market.

As you can see, the place is full of graffitis, that’s incredible and amazing. All these color are making the place super cool, far from the military old usage. There is also some skatepark in the whole area, it is now a huge scene for the local skate world.

We also hang around the famous Place de la Bourse, couldn’t resist taking pic there. This place is truly a gem of architecture ❤

Even if it is always more or less crowded due to the tourists, I will always come here to appriciate the beauty of this french classical architecture.

Passing by the park of Jardin Public, we just take time to appreciate the magnificent colors of Autumn. Weather is getting cold as the time goes by, we stopped into some cafés. One of my favorite in Bordeaux is Verdenero 🙂 Cappucinos are great

At that time, there was a fun fair installed in a big square in Bordeaux. I don’t know about you but Neon colors are one of my favorite !!
